Das Deutschlandlied (the National Anthem of Germany)

The Deutschlandlied (Das Lied der Deutschen) was composed by Joseph Haydn, the famous classical 18th century composer known among the others for his more than 100 symphonies.

The piano arrangement by Easypianoscores.com is choral-like version. The three-voice polyphony throughout the pieces supports the melody in a very beautiful way despite being not too difficult.

  • Three-voice polyphony

  • It is necessary to know (or want to learn) how to play in voices. In its simplest form it’s playing two-note simultaneous chords, but sometimes noted within a hand are of different lengths, too. See the preview image to estimate the difficulty.
  • The chosen key is E flat, which means there are quite a lot of black keys, as well. It helps if you are already familiar with playing these.
